Clayton Laskowski and his boys brought home the bacon with a quartet of swole Doradaos on November 15. Looks like dinner is served!

November 14 will be a day that John Schimkaitis, Heather Cozart and Jared Cozart never forget as they enshrined themselves in the FishingNosara Hall of Fame with a legendary BILLFISH GRAND SLAM!
First up was John nabbing a 100lbs. Sailfish, released early in the trip, completing the first leg of the Grand Slam.
Then a 100lbs. Striped Marlin came calling around noon; not the biggest specimen we’ve ever seen but Jared’s catch still counts as the second piece of the Grand Slam.
Finally it was Heather’s turn on the reel for a MASSIVE Blue Marlin estimated by Mate Kevin upon release to be well over 350lbs.
The action was so hot on the Discoverer that the scorecard shows more than just Billfish releases; a good array of Dorado and Yellowfin Tuna means that these North Carolina anglers will be able to replenish their strength at the dinner table.
Fantastic work by Captain Carlos and the unbeatable battleship Discoverer!

The Explorer and client Alan Johnson snagged a quartet of good-eatin’ Dorados on their November 14th fishing trip.
It’s always good to leave the boat with a big sack of filets!

Russell Thorsheim stocked up on filets on November 14. First up was a nice-sized Dorado:
Then Captain Alex parked the Harvester over a nice reef bite which yielded seven Snappers and two small Snook…very unusual to snag Snook this far off of the beach.

The Discoverer welcomed Maria Garay and her group for a fun morning of rod bending action. They scooped up five 20lbs. Dorados on a five hour trip.
A fish an hour ain’t too shabby, especially when they are this delicious.

Good things came in twos on November 13th ad Captain Alex welcomed Russell Thorsheim for two Sailfish releases backed up with two Dorados.

David Little ended his week of fishing with Captain David with a true fish of a lifetime..this Rooster Fish release is easily north of 70lbs. and is clearly the biggest pez gallo of the season for the FishingNosara team:
They also nabbed several more nice filets for the travel cooler.
Great work by Captain David and the plucky Adventurer.

David Little was back for more on the 12th, this time marking the scorecard with a sweet Rooster fish release.
Also adding an additional Dorado, Mr. Little has show that he knows how to handle a big fish on the line.

Hubble Keller’s walk-off shot came on November 11th as the Harvester iced eleven big Dorados.
They all have good size to them, and were coming in so quickly that we had to pile them up on the deck as the next fish came calling.
It’s was a great week of action for Team Keller, and its no shame that their arms were so tired that Captain Alex had to pick up the slack as Hubble was on the wheel and the gaff.

The Discoverer welcomed Stephanie Vinat’s group for a 6.5 hour trip on November 11 and they had an absolute blast on the big battleship.
This Marlin release is a great angling achievement, and these folks didn’t leave empty-handed thanks to a variety of nice Dorados and Yellowfin Tunas.
