Andy Nuber pulled off one of the toughest feats in blue water fishing: The Double Sailfish release!
Aided by Mate Kevin and Mate Wilson, both of these creatures were safely released.
Later on they hooked up a nice Dorado for the dinner table.
Art and Christine Jones put together a great run of trips in mid-March on the Wanderer. This wonderful Rooster Fish release got things off to a good start:
Then Art Jones nabbed a great Sailfish release:
It wasn’t all trophy fish releases; they boated some nice Dorados backed up by excellent Yellowfin Tunas.
Our new friend Nick Lowe came to Nosara for a fishing adventure, and they chose Captain Carlos and the Discoverer as the platform for blue water action on March 13.
Big Dorado were on the menu, and a late-day Sailfish release was the icing on the cake.
Captain William and the Wanderer continue to reign as the King of Garza Bay, and in early March welcomed the return of big Dorados to the area.
A nice batch of Yellowfin Tunas has provided some variety to the fishbox.
Of course what offshore action would be complete without a few nice Sailfish releases?
Great work by Captain William and the flagship Wanderer!
The Explorer performed brilliantly on March 6 with angler Josh Elder’s group reporting strong offshore action. They released a nice Sailfish early in the trip.
They filled the fishbox with tasty Dorado filets later in the day. Great all-around action and big smiles for all.
Thanks Shane Whealton of Shane Outside for the great video. See more of his work at facebook.com/ShaneOutside/
Captain William finished the month strong with a very productive trip, highlighted by this nice Blue Marlin.
Later in the day they set up on a nice pod of Dorados, boating several of these nice monsters.
The fish kept biting even after the clients’ arms wore out, so Mate Wilson reeled up the last one of the day.
Captain Fico closed out the month strong with a whirlwind of trips. The barroom brawler scored lots of nice Sailfish releases:
They also piled the fishbox high with great filets of Dorado and Snapper.
As always the most important thing is big smiles and fun times on the Explorer:
South Carolina angler Cissy Bonifay brought home the bacon with Captain William reporting this excellent Dorado on February 16.
We all like sushi, but at least let us filet the fish first!
Captain Alex continues his consistent action with this excellent Dorado catch on February 12 with angler Aaron Rustin.
Great work by the mega panga!
The Harvester keeps on rocking with a quartet of Sailfish releases on the 9th with Daniel Rivara’s group.
The hits came early and often, keeping the rods bent all day long.
After the flurry of billfish action, these anglers scored a double Dorado hook-up and brought both beauties to the boat.
Awesome job by these New Jersey anglers!
