Dennis Seltsam joined Captain David on the Explorer, and after a fantastic Marlin release on the Wanderer Mr. Seltsam was ready to stay inshore and hunt reef monsters. The highlight of the excursion was this gorgeous Rooster fish:

These Kentucky anglers backed up the Rooster release with an assortment of Congrios which have certainly been around in droves recently. Great all around fishing perfomance by Dennis Seltsam and the invincible Explorer!

Suzanne McDowell and her group had an excellent afternoon on the water with Captain David and they have the fridge full of fish filets to prove it. The unstoppable Explorer stayed inshore and they racked several large Congrios and an assortment of smaller snappers.

Fantastic work by these Vermonters and Captain David on an outstanding trip!

You gotta wake up pretty early in the morning to call yourself the pound-for-pound champ, so the Explorer had her lines out at the crack of the sun this morning. Captain David kept client Thompson Rains and his group on the fish and the rods were bent all morning.

This was Captain David’s first of two trips for the day; great job on the early morning bite by the Explorer.

Captain David has been delivering memorable Sunset fishing trips for his clients. Check out this multi-species evening:

Their 2.5 hour session yielded (from L to R) a Red Grouper, a Yellowfin Tuna, a White Tuna, and a nice Congrio. These guys made it back to shore just in time to get these filets to a restaurant…sounds like the perfect evening!

Nosara Paradise Rentals GM Javier Hernandez took a quick 2.5 hr Sunset cruise with Captain David on the Explorer and el jefe pulled in reef monsters that would cause the most refined palette to salivate.

These Red Groupers are far and away the most delicious of the Grouper family and the Congrio is legendary for its tasty white meat. From monster snook to inshore assaults Senior Javier has the tools and the talent to bring home the bacon. Yummy!

The Explorer notched another great sunset trip with client Sean and his young friends. In just three short hours they boated a handful of Yellowfin Tuna andย  nice Jack Crevalle.

The inshore reefs around Garza are as familiar to Captain David as the back of his own hand and once again he put the Explorer directly on top of the fish. Great fishing performance from Sean, Captain David, and the unstoppable Explorer.

We were stoked to host a wedding fishing fiesta with Rob Anderson and his group from Dallas, TX. They split the party between the Wanderer and the Explorer. Both boats saw consistent action, but the Wanderer had the edge when it comes to good eatin’ keepers.

Captain William and the big blue beauty accounted for 10 Yellowfin tunas and five Jack Crevalles in the fishbox, while over on the Explorer Captain David’s group got a bunch of Bonita and a few feisty reef Snapper.

No matter how you score it, Mr. Anderson and his group certainly caught enough fish for the wedding party. Great work team!

Richmond and Brooke followed up they inshore sushi shopping trip with another trip with Captain David on the indefatigable Explorer. This time they were joined by Daniel Shields (FishingNosara’s Chief Technology/Ecology Advisor) and his lovely wife Maria Yetty.

Captain David put the barroom brawler onto a secret spot of the reef, and today’s was twice as productive has Richmond’s prior trip. The highlight of the day was this intriguing Rooster Fish, which was released after the photo session.

They backed up that catch with some meat for the cooler in the form of a few nice Jack Crevalles and more Tuna.

Most importantly Hall of Famer Richmond Phipps had a great time on the Explorer and will certainly be back for some more old-school extreme panga fishing.
