A swarm of Rooster fish have hit the area around Garza Bay and Captain David has put the Discoverer neck deep in the middle of them. Check out this nice 25lbs. specimen caught on July 2:

The next day the battleship welcomed a nice family of anglers and scored a nice Yellowfin Tuna backed up with a meaty Mangrove Snapper:

The Adventurer has seen some great action this month, but we always want to pay special attention to the catches recorded by our young anglers.

This father-son sunset trip on May 3 yielded some nice White Tuna catches (above), and the next day another youngster grabbed himself a sandwich-sized Dorado:

Great work by Fico and the family-friendly Adventurer.

Joe Doubek and his family celebrated Easter aboard the flagship Wandererย and they snatched up Sailfish like they were Easter eggs.

Captain William tracked a feeding porpoise pod and Team Doubek swiped a handful of small Yellowfin Tunas out from under their bottle-noses.

Big family fun on the Wanderer for Joe Doubek!

Tom Bernik brought his sons down to Nosara with big fish on the brain. Captain William and First Mate Alex of the famous Wanderer overcame overcast skies and some medium chop to deliver the goods to this hard-fishing family from New Jersey.

William and Alex are both family men who are great with kids…We love seeing this big smiles on little anglers!

After a long day of Sailfish releases for the boys, they finally let the old man take a turn and he released the final billfish of the day.

Great work by the mighty Wanderer and the Bernik Boys!

March 27, 2014

March 27 was a Banner day for Billfish on the mighty Wanderer. John Koons and his swamp posse was back on board the blue beauty for a day that would see several Sailfish released and one MASSIVE Marlin!

Once again the most junior members of the crew broke the ice with a pair ofย  excellent Sailfish releases before turning the rod over to the big boys.

At 1pm the boys pulled off a slick Double Sailfish release:

Everyone scored a Sailfish release, but the highlight of the trip came around 3pm.

This big Black Marlin took a lure and tried to run away with it, but Team Koons wasn’t hearing any of that!

After a vigourous 20 minute fight the whole team lined up for a picture with nature’s toughest predatory fish.

First Mate Alex finished the safe release with his signature move: a small kiss on the bill for this deadly pelagic!

Excellent work by the crew of the famous Wanderer to safely release this fish-of-a-lifetime!
