The FishingNosara Family Cup is awarded to the best aggregate family performance at the Jacksonville Kayak Fishing Tournament which was held in May 2011.

Melita Ganoe and her family finished atop the leaderboard, so as part of the prize she opted for a impromptu meeting of the Kayak Fishing club right here in Nosara. El Jefe Javier Hernandez led the trip down the Nosara River, and even though the fish were shy it was still a great time.

We are looking forward to the 2nd winners of the FishingNosara Family Cup later this Spring. Thanks to JaxKayakFishing.com for hosting this awesome event.

Amazing Kayak Safari Tour today that featured a canine companion and an excellent Snook catch by El Jefe. Local man Humberto Avila was joined by guide Arturo for a lazy float down the Rio Nosara.

Once they got to the river mouth and broke out the fishing poles, look who they ran into:

No other than Nosara Paradise Rentals GM Javier Hernandez along with another fantastic Snook. El Jefe is a Snook catching machine and he always knows where the big boys are hiding. Another great day on the river!

Kayak Safari Tour

The Kayak Safari Tours are already hugely popular with the nature-appreciating, outdoor-adventuring crowd; now it is finally catching on with the fishing crowd. This river is chock full of Mangrove Snapper and Snook, so on your next Nosara trip you may want to take a day off of blue water fishing to sample this tranquil day of paddling and casting.

Brian Ware is part of a proud tradition of Northeast Florida anglers who have bested massive Marlins on the Wanderer. It seems that the blue beauty can sense that her anglers are from her former port of call, and she delivers the goods when a Jacksonville residents are on board.

In addition to this great Marlin catch, Brian and his party also took to the river on our Kayak Safari. They still have some fishing days planned so look out for more domination from the Jacksonville locals.

FishingNosara is pumped to offer Kayak Safari Tours as a new way to explore the Costa Rican wilderness. Also, these brand-new 13′ Ocean Kayaks are the only way to get to the Mangrove Snappers and supersized Snook at the estuary between the Nosara River and the Pacific Ocean.

To test the new vessels we sent the best of the FishingNosara team to explore the river. On Thursday November 11th the fellas put the Kayaks through their paces and scouted many spots for future fishing expeditions.

Captain William made his way to the train bridge overpass to make sure the boys were staying out of trouble. Our crews certainly look out for each other.

Our first Kayak Safari client was Eduardo Barrios on Saturday November 13th. Accompanied by Guide Johnny, Mr. Barrios explored the river and the saw tons of wildlife. Also he did some more preliminary scouting for Snook.

Recently client Hal Breedlove and his group went out with Javier on Thursday November 18th for a 3 hour trip down the river. The saw incredible natural beauty and had an absolutely fantastic time.

Kayak Tours provide an economical way to fish and explore the wilderness of Costa Rica. Check out the Safari Tours section of FishingNosara.com for all the details.
