A really fun group of anglers came down from Texas for a week-long fishing campaign, and got things going right away with lots of nice Dorados on deck.
These meaty Mahi will keep the group fed, but the highlight of the trip was this monster Sailfish release late in the day.
The Wanderer half of John Egan’s group had a big time on the flagship with several big boys on ice by day’s end.
The Dorado action has been white-hot all month, leading to double hook-ups on several trips.
All three generations of the family got in on the action.
Great work by Captain William and the mighty Wanderer!
John Egan brought his boys along for an excellent day of fishing action with Captain William on the Wanderer.
Multiple hook-ups lead to multiple Dorados, also backed up with Yellowfin Tuna catches.
Sloan Rogers’ group was split between the Wanderer and Discoverer on the 19th, and the flagship displayed some teamwork to catch these nice Dorados.
Clayton Laskowski and his buddy put on a show over three days fishing on the Wanderer, filling the scorecard with a wide variety of catches.
The first day featured a raft full of Yellowfin Tunas backed up by a nice Dorado.
Later in the trip the Wanderer also found this excellent Sailfish, safe released as always.
On the second day Team Laskowski found more Dorados, and this time they had some serious size to them.
They even scored a couple of small Wahoos, an unusual score for this time of year.
The third and final day on the Wanderer featured multiple Sailfish releases and more Mahi Mahi.
After a run like this it’s no surprise that the boys were ready to pitch in on the filet knife. Great work by Captain William and these fun-loving anglers.
Captain William kept up the consitent results in mid-November with four more excellent Dorados on ice.
Later in the day they moved inshore and scored another Dorado and a beautiful Pompano.
Returning angler Joe Goins lit it up with Captain William on November 8 with the scorecard showing a nice Sailfish release backed-up with a big Dorado.
Captain William got his season started with a excellent performance with angler Rick Ulrich.
The Wanderer discovered a massive floating tree, and we know that means an entire marine ecosystem lurks beneath. Check out these sweet Dorados that Team Ulrich dug up from under the roots.
Great start to the season for the mighty flagship!
Gary Killam knocked it out of the park on the Wanderer with a fantastic Blue Marlin release:
Earlier in the day they filled up the fishbox with Dorado and Yellowfin Tunas on the deck.
Great work by these Tampa based anglers!
