Captain Carlos has continued to score big for his clients in 2015. He started the year off with this fantastic Double Sailfish Release:
Naturally, both fish were released but you can’t say the same for these beefy Dorados that have been filling our clients’ fishboxes:
Big Dorado have been a constant with several reports of full fishboxes of fresh filets.
Also, it is nice to White Tuna showing up on the scorecard again; these fellas have been a little scarce since the Dorado came close to shore. These 10-15lbs. White Tunas are the perfect size for tasty filets and sushi.
Of course the barroom brawler also picked a fight with some stunning Sailfish recently; check out the fight on this monster.
A safe release by Mate Kevin is the perfect send-off to this excellent fishing triumph.
New Year, Same Results for Captain William and the mighty Wanderer!
Thomas Palmer and his family signed up for a half day trip and got waaaayyy more than they bargained for from the flagship.
The Wanderer reports multiple Sailfish releases punctuated by a Double Sailfish release:
This fun fishing family also mopped up some 20-25lbs. Dorados for the dinner table.
Great start to 2015 by the fearsome flagship!
Captain Carlos and Mate Kevin started the new year with a splash as they scored seven Sailfish releases on just a 5 hour trip!
You don’t get these kind of numbers without a few Double Sailfish releases thrown in:
Throw in this 30lbs. Dorado and you have one marked-up scorecard:
Amazing action from the barroom brawler!
Ryan and MacKenzie Harrington joined us earlier this year during their honeymoon trip, and returned for a fun fishing outing on December 31.
Last time Ryan scored a big Marlin, and on this trip the highlight was undoubtedly this his-and-hers Double Sailfish release.
They also mopped up some nice 25-35lbs. Dorados, plus MacKenzie scored a late-day Sailfish to sweeten the pot.
Great work by Captain David and Mate Juan Carlos for this Tampa-based charter captain.
The Sailfish have been thick this month and Captain Carlos has pulled out all of the tricks to reel ’em in and release ’em.
Check out the amazing bio-luminescence on this Sailfish:
They are better in pairs, as testified by this sweet Double Sailfish release.
Awesome performance from the barroom brawler!
Captain William closed out 2014 with a double-trip day that saw incredible numbers of Sailfish releases and big Dorados on ice. The morning client was Mr. David Yarborough and his family.
Sailfish dominated the scorecard with several releases punctuated by a Double Sailfish release late in the trip.
It is such a treat for us to host kids on blue water trips and show them all the fun that fishing can bring.
The afternoon session was also great as we welcomed Leah Merryfield and her friends for continued awesome action.
Like the morning session, their highlight was a Double Sailfish release:
These Texas anglers also nabbed a few solo Sailfish to round our their record.
The final send-off were some sunset Dorados that are easily north of 40lbs.
Great work by the baddest boat in Garza Bay!
Ray Anderson and his boys had a fantastic trip on the Discoverer. Here’s what Ray sent to us via email:
Craig – Great trip on the Discoverer yesterday.
My two sons and I caught 3 sailfish (one was 100 lbs), and 5 large dorado.
Captain David and Juan Carlos were the best.
Could not have asked for a better time. We will be back.

The Wanderer welcomed Paul Vegliante and his friends for a morning half day trip and they found the offshore bite to be rewarding and fruitful. The highlight was this fired-up Sailfish release:
They backed that up with this monster Dorado.
Estimated at 40lbs., this monster should yield about 15lbs. of filet meat.
I’m sure that once she sees the filets on the plate, that frown will turn upside-down.
