Longtime friend and client Scott D’Arrigo joined Craig Sutton and the crew of the Wanderer for a very memorable day of fishing on January 30th.

With Craig in command of the cockpit and Scotty on the reel they pulled in this massive Sailfish…Craig brought the big fella into the boat himself, a first time for him with a Pacific Sailfish.

On January 25th, 26th, and 27th the Wanderer was honored to welcome Captain Kevin Faver, his wife Carrie, and the crew of The Outdoors Show for a few days of fishing and filming. Kevin and Carrie repeated last year’s success by catching four Dorados and releasing seven Sailfish.

Also Kevin released one of the nicest Rooster Fish of the year so far. These episodes should air soon, so keep an eye on this report for airtimes and channels.

January 22 was a fantastic day on the Wanderer with Craig landing a 65+lbs. Cubera Snapper, a 10lbs. Yellowfin Tuna and two 10lbs. Black Tunas. In addition they managed to raise five Sailfish.

We gotten to the point where we can get these Cuberas pretty much whenever we want…we’ve perfected a tactic that you can adapt in your home waters. Check it out: FishingNosara.com Tactics

The Wanderer welcomed Mikaela, Abby, and friends for an excellent sunset cruise.

These girls are from Middlebury College (VT) and are teaching English at the Nosara Library for free. Joined by Manuel they caught a couple black tunas and lost a big fish. They also were delighted by a huge school of dolphins. FishingNosara supports the local schools and we are pleased to see such nice young ladies providing this valuable service to our community.

With the Marlin Bite in full force, clients Ted and Linda Thompson booked the Wanderer on January 15th and was at the reel for a double Marlin release: A 200lbs. Black Marlin and a 250lbs. Blue Marlin!

She went looking for the grand slam, but was satisfied enough with the two big boys and a 20lbs. Dorado. It was a great day for the boat, client, and crew!

Captain William has the Wanderer dialed in for the new season, and in just two short months this boat has gone from the newcomer to a contender for top boat in the area.

On December 26, 2009 client Caleb Rose, his father Chris and sister Vita were on board the Wanderer.

“My trips were great,” Caleb writes. “I personally caught probably 10 Dorado and three white tuna. My father was thrilled to catch a 130lbs. Sailfish and several Dorado. My sister also caught two Dorado. Captain William did a great job of putting us on the fish and the mates (Alex and David) were very helpful and great to work with.”

Chris Rose continues, “We had a blast. The crew was exceptional, the boat was terrific, the weather was great, the fish were cooperative, and we are depressed to be in 14 degree weather with snow on the ground! Returning to Costa Rica is a priority for us.”
