Rob Eastman enlisted the Discoverer for blue water fishing action on December 10.
Captain Carlos always delivers variety to his clients, and the combination of Dorado steaks and Yellowfin Tuna sushi certainly fills out a menu.
The Harvester kept up the Yellowfin Tuna action on the 6th with several more nice scores:
They also boated this excellent Dorado:
The Harvester welcomed Julia Thompson and her friends for a fun day of action, punctuated by a nice Dorado score.
Then they found a swarm of tasty football-sized Yellowfin Tunas.
These are the perfect size for firm Ahi steaks.
Great work by Captain Alex and the mega panga Harvester!
John Hickson and his posse had a marvelous day on the Discoverer with multiple Sailfish releases, including several multi-hookups.
Captain Carlos and Mate Kevin did a wonderful job of keeping these monsters from hurting themselves during the battles, and safely released them as always.
A swarm of Dorados and Yellowfin Tunas will help this group replenish themselves for more fishing.
Greatjob by the big battleship Discoverer!
The flagship went out with Dan Johnson again on the 3rd, and this time they began by adding to the Dorado haul.
Then Dan belted up for a spirited Sailfish battle.
Late in the day the Wanderer scored a beefy Yellowfin Tuna to add variety to the dinner table.
Our good friends Patrick and Mike McGoey drove down from Samara for a day trip with Captain Alex, and their adventurous spirit was rewarded with nine nice Dorados and four beefy Yellowfin Tunas.
The Dorados were stacked up like firewood and their hunger led to several multiple hook-ups.
John Hickson returned to the battleship the next day and upped the ante with more great meat fish.
A big Dorado is a nice follow-up to the previous day’s catch, plus a nice Yellowfin Tuna (rare for this time of year) adds variety.
The final catch of the day was also the highlight; This small Blue Marlin release was a great send off to a fun day of fishing.
The Explorer finished off the month with angler Brian Messerich reporting a BIG Yellowfin Tuna backed up by a nice Dorado.
All of this on just a 5 hour trip…imagine the back-breaking load of filets they would score on a full day!
Julie Edwards’ family had a big day on the 32-foot Discoverer on the 19th, highlighted by this MONSTER Blue Marlin.
They also scored a Sailfish during the day.
In addition to the safe billfish releases, this group added a nice Dorado and a Yellowfin Tuna.
Great work by Captain Carlos and the big battleship!
Our old pal David Little returned to Nosara in mid-November and these UK anglers had a big time on the Adventurer.
This big Dorado is an example of their great variety of edible catches that will look great on the dinner plate.
