Great day of family fishing on the Adventurer with Captain Carlos on February 13. Check out this brightly colored Jack Crevelle:
Nice work fellas!
The Adventurer welcomed Jose Luis Barzuna on February 9 and this guy was on the fish early and often.
This small fish were a nice icebreaker, but the true fish-of-a-lifetime came calling in the afternoon:
Wow! That is a grande Sailfish even by Costa Rica standards. Estimated by Captain Carlos at over 150lbs., this monster was safely released as usual.
Amazing action from the awesome Adventurer!
Doc Hatton and the posse are back on the Wanderer and were welcomed with improved weather and a gaggle of hungry fish.
The battleground was less than a mile from Garza point and the Wanderer defended her home turf by building up a classic feeding frenzy. The first catch was a juvinile Yellowtail Snapper, followed up by a medium-sized Nurse Shark.
An inauspicious start indeed, however this is the first phase of stirring up a bottom fish bite. Sure enough the action coaxed some big fish up from their seafloor hiding spots.
This Broomtail Grouper is a real monster! Right behind it was another nice-sized bottom dweller:
The bite stayed strong and a group of Jack Crevelle swung by to investigate the fishy waters.
The final jewel in the Wanderer‘s bottom fishing crown was this nice Rooster fish.
We release this species, but with the massive Snapper and Grouper catches from earlier it is safe to say that Doc Hatton and his group will be well-stocked with filets this week.
ย
Janet Storey had a week of eye-popping catches offshore, and for her group’s final trip they stayed inshore to to find some tasty bottom fish. The action was heavy early as a school of Jack Crevelles couldn’t resist our deep jigs
Notice the right side of the picture that this is a double hookup…when these fish get hungry they FEED!
They had a ton of rod-bending fun and the highlight for the fishbox was this perfectly-sized Rock Snapper. This tasty beast put our new Penn Spinfishers to the test and should surely serve as a perfect end-of-vacation dinner for these Moorehaven, FL anglers.
So we realize that it is Easter Sunday and that our whole posse is made up of strong Catholics who place family first, and therefore Craig decided to give everyone the day off.
What do they do with their day off? Go fishing of course!
Man, I love our crew! This great day of fun on the Wanderer featured el jefe Javier Hernandez, chief mechanic Marino, our newest member of the office team Alejandro, and their wives and kids.
ย
They brought in a few fish while they were at it, celebrated not just the highest of holy days but also put to bed the first half of the high season.
Nosara Paradise Rentals and FishingNosara have been moving at a breakneck pace since November and it is essential that our group gets some time to celebrate and reflect on jobs well done.
Decked out in support of the Final Four contending Michigan Wolverines, Ray Anderson and his boys took a 3/4 day trip on the Wandererย and brought home a variety of good eatin’ table fare including this small White Tuna and a nice Jack Crevelle.
Hail to the victors indeed! Another great day of family fun on the famous Wanderer!
The Adventurer strikes again! Client Kim Hius took a short ride on the pocket knife and pried up this tasty Jack Crevelle less than two miles from shore.
Excellent quick hitter by Captain Carlos on the craftiest boat in the bay.
Our new friend Ruth Fricke brought her family out for a nice day of fishing on the Wanderer and managed to score some filets for the dinner table. The highlights of a busy day of action were this tasty White tuna and a nice Jack Crevelle.
Lots of fun for these folks on their day fishing on the flagship.
A relaxing sunset cruise was a fitting end to one of the busiest months ever for the Wanderer. Client Charles Bamburg brought a fun-loving group on board for a quick 2.5 hour jaunt to the inshore reef and they had a boatload of fun to go with several Jack Crevelle catches.
Take a look at the good times:
Judith Cristchell and her friends enjoyed a picturesque sunset cruise on the spacious Wanderer. These quick 2.5 hour trips are just right to take in the vistas and watch dolphins mingle with lazy turtles;
All that, plus these guys and gals also had some fine action on the reels!
These feisty Jack Crevelles couldn’t resist the Planer / Spoon rig and they lined up to pile into the fishbox. Looks like everyone was pumped up to get some fish in the boat.
Well almost everyone!
All smiles on another memorable and productive sunset cruise on the flagship Wanderer.
