The Harvester battled a bunch of billfish with angler Sloan Roger’s group on the 13th. The highlight of their blue-water battles was this big Black Marlin release.
This monster Marlin release was the finale of a trip that also included a swarm of Sailfish releases.
Mate Wilson and Captain Alex had their hands full with these airborne Sailfish.
Great work by the mega panga and Sloan Rogers’ group!
Billy Meeks, Jeff Forrester, Collin Gibson, Derek Deyo, and Patrick were on board the Discoverer for the catch of a lifetime on February 2.

They also added a nice Yellowfin Tuna for the dinner table.

Tom Osbourne’s group scored the fish of a lifetime on March 2. Captain Carlos reports a big Black Marlin release on board the Discoverer.

Raul Otero’s group did it again! On January 28 they nagged a wonderful Black Marlin release backed up with a Sailfish release.

On January 9 the Harvester delivered a true fish of a lifetime for the Boriack family. Check out this monster Marlin:
Joshua Hayes’ family lit up the scoreboard on July 24 with Captain Carlos reporting a Black Marlin release.
The added three Blue Marlin releases later in the trip.

Bob Templeton turned in the performance of a lifetime on July 9; Captain Fico reports TWO Marlin releases on the big battleship Discoverer. Get a look at this big Black Marlin:
This release was followed with and equally-impressive Blue Marlin release:
Amazing work by Captain Carlos and Mate Kevin on this great day of fishing.
Matty was on board the mighty Wanderer on December 18 and battled a MASSIVE Black Marlin for two hours.
This monster hit around 3:00pm and fought until sunset, when after several leader grabs finally broke the hook right next to the boat.
We see around five of these size Marlin per year, and is clearly the biggest fish Matty ever caught.
The flagship didn’t go home empty handed, thanks to this nice Dorado from early in the day.
All smiles on the way back in.

Michael Busch scored big on his first day of fishing on the Discoverer…get a load of this MASSIVE Black Marlin.
This beast was followed up by a nice Pacific Sailfish.
Later in the trip they bested a nice Blue Marlin, completing the Billfish Grand Slam!

Mark Andrews’ group was back on July 4 and as part of their Independence Day celebration they liberated this massive 42lbs. Dorado from the sea.
This floor sweeper was backed up with another monster Mahi Mahi
Several big Yellowfin Tunas were also added to this mix; a great follow up to their Ahi haul from earlier in the week.
Finally, Mark got hooked into a BIIIIGGG Black Marlin with a spinning reel.
Wait a minute…how is he trying to fight a Marlin with a spinning reel? What could possibly lead someone into bringing a knife to a bazooka fight?
Oh, well that explains it. Anyhow the Black Marlin only fought for a few moments before it spit the hook.
Still, a great day from the Harvester!
