Jarrett and Tiffany booked the mighty Wanderer for a half-day and had an absolute blast catching beefy Groupers.
This school of tasty Red Groupers have become a staple over the last two months and clearly the FishingNosara team has them dialed-in. Tiffany also added a Jack Crevalle later in the trip. Excellent work on the bottom by the Wanderer.
John Havins and his group from Houston booked Captain William and the Wanderer for an afternoon half day on March 15. He’s staying with our buddy Jeff over at Namaste Oasis so it was natural that he would have a great day on the flagship.
The knocked out a pair of 15lbs. Groupers and added some big Jack Crevalles for good measure. The Grouper bite has turned into a staple and we hope these tasty critters stick around for the rest of the season.
Our old friend George Shipley returned to the blue waters of Garza hoping for a repeat of his excellent performance on the Explorer back in February 2011. With his young son in tow, Mr. Shipley opted for the more spacious Wanderer and once again he was face-to-face with a mighty pacific billfish.
This Pacific Sailfish weighs about 135lbs. and is a wonderful example of the beasts that lurk just a few miles off of our shores. Great work by the crew to ensure the safe release of this majestic beast.
Hill Danforth came to the Wanderer looking to get on some early morning offshore action, and the mighty blue beauty delivered this amazing Sailfish at just after 9am
Great action early in the morning for the fish catching Wanderer!
Lots of Groupers today on the Wanderer. A group of yogis took a 2.5 hour morning trip on the flagship and caught 4 Red Groupers each weighing over 15lbs.
On an afternoon 2.5 hour trip client Patrick and his group caught another pair of Red Grouper weighing about 12lbs. each.
Nice fishing on a day where the green water and full moon might scare away less adaptable fisherman…Captain William delivers another memorable performance despite some long odds.
Isabel Fernandez comes to Nosara from a lovely little South Florida fishing village that is just a few blocks from the IGFA Hall of Fame. Floridan anglers are certainly no stranger to productive days on the water, and the afternoon of March 8 was another day at the office for these Sunshine Staters.
First up was the tasty and elusive Congrio, known for it’s excellent white meat. Then these Floridians really piled the fishbox with a swath of tasty Grouper.
Most importantly, everyone has a great time and has big smiles to show for it…another great trip by the Wanderer.
Jon Infanti brought a whole swarm of folks down to Nosara this week and on March 7 booked the Wanderer, Explorer, and Sportsman for a full-on fishing party. The full moon brought some brackish green water in close to shore, but the Captains of FishingNosara know how to overcome obstacles like bad water.
All three boats caught fish, with the Sportsman and Captain Eduardo leading the way with 7 Red Groupers.
The Wanderer kept pace with three nice Red Groupers as well as multiple Jack Crevalles for the fish box.
The Explorer stayed a little closer to shore and scored a nice Red Grouper and five tasty Congrios.
All told these folks put a nice hurtin’ on the meat fish and should have enough filets to feed even the largest dinner party. Excellent work by some folks who certainly know how to have a good time on the water.
Another great family fishing trip on the Wanderer! This time the big Red Groupers were around and Captain William kept the big blue beauty right on top of this nice pot of fish.
Nice effort from this family in catching a whole cooler full of filets. Yummy!
The Wanderer is the ideal place to get your kids bit with the fishing bug. Captain William and First Mate Alex are great with kids and are excellent teachers of the craft of Costa Rican sportfishing.
Client Garrett and his family had an action packed 2.5 hour trip on the Wanderer and scored a nice White Tuna and a bunch of Blue Runners. Both young men got a chance to reel in some fish and a great time was enjoyed by all.
Hey, is that a signed Robert August hat? Cool lid kid!
